CONSERVATION
PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Preserve
proposes, based
on a stream
design by Dr.
David Rosgen and
biologist
Ron Pierce –
leaders in the
field of stream
and river
restoration - to
restore and
enhance
over 6 miles of
spring creeks.
Additionally, a
design team led
by Ducks
Unlimited has
designs to
restore and
enhance
approximately
200 acres of
wetlands,
create
approximately
110 acres of
high quality
seasonal,
semi-permanent
and permanent
wetlands, and
improve riparian
and wetland
habitat along
the Big Wood
River.
When completed,
the land and
water will then
be managed to
sustain
these
conservation
values. |
